Why don't you join me for a class? I teach all over the country, preparing my recipes and giving lots of tips, techniques, and encouragement (not to mention tasting samples of every dish).
Everyone is welcome, from beginning cooks to professional chefs. And each class, whether hands-on or demonstration, is infused with lots of stories, information, and a dash or two of humor. It's a great way to meet new friends or to do something special with your best friend or spouse.
Depending on the location, classes are available in the morning and evening and usually last 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Please check my calendar for a class near you. Hope to see you soon!
Cavallo Point Culinary Program
I'm working with my good friend and fellow Chez Panisse alum Kelsie Kerr on an exciting culinary program this fall at the incredible Cavallo Point - The Lodge at the Golden Gate, a new luxury hotel, learning center, spa and culinary destination situated in Fort Baker national park area in Sausalito. I can't wait to teach in their brand new culinary arts facility!

A Culinary Immersion: Wine Country Cooking with Joanne Weir
October 26-31, 2008
Rate per person: $1800*
Join Joanne Weir, a James Beard Award-winning cookbook author, cooking teacher and television personality in a five-day immersion of food and wine. Joanne loves to share her passion of the kitchen, including her extensive background in food theory, technique and, in particular, Mediterranean cuisine. You will cook out of Joanne's newly-released cookbook, "Wine Country Cooking." Each day you learn a variety of cooking techniques for risotto, pasta, pizza and more, while preparing a delicious meal to eat together. Seminars and tastings from local wine country vintners complement each day.
*The published program price includes all program activities and most meals. Lodging is separate. Room rates range from $250 to $650 per night and suites range from $650-$850/night, plus 14% tax.
